Lilypie Third Birthday tickers

Pulling up!

Well, I must say I'm getting bigger and bigger every day!! First I liked to start off my day with a little yoga to clear my mind...I believe it's called the downward dog.

Then I get to the real stuff like pulling up on everything in the house. The window sills, chairs, and my colorful toys. By the way, I'm wearing my brand new outfit from my Aunt Kori. That's right...she got it in New York City...at fashion week. Seriously, why hasn't anyone casted me in commercials yet??

I also love pulling up on the ottoman where I'm obviously trying to reach the "Recipes Around the World" cookbook so I could secretly make a nice meal for mom and dad....shhh...keep it on the DL ("down low" if you're not down with the street lingo)!

Got it!!! I hate that stupid nose bulb!!!

I also like to pull up on the back door to see Ike and Tina.

I'm even pulling up in my crib...which is awesome because I'm really good at standing up on my own, but not so good at sitting back down (at least that's what I make mommy believe) so then she has to come into my room to save me! It's a fantastically deceptive plan...and I'm LOVIN' EVERY MINUTE OF IT!!

Daddy's play time

Have I told you that my daddy is silly?? Mommy ALWAYS tells me not to play with my food....then daddy comes over to feed me and look what he does!!!

That's right, he smears my cereal and prunes all over my face!

Mommy quickly gave me a bath to clean me up though.

Sometimes I wish Daddy would stay home all day with me so we could get dirty and not take baths all day long!!

Play date with Cailin!!!

I FINALLY got to see my best friend Cailin! Her mommy had a day off from work, so they came over for a play date...and it was everything I hoped it would be! Cailin even showed me the new reverse crunches that she learned :o)

We are both crawling around everywhere...even on top of each other at times. Cailin would also get a little too close to my mom which I didn't appreciate!! After a while I had to vocalize my concerns.

Cailin's now standing up, so I tried to show her my new moves as well. See, I can stand too!! I just haven't been brave enough to stand upright just yet.

Going to the park...la..la..lala...

My mommy and daddy FINALLY started taking me to the park near my house. I mean I've asking about this place since I was in the womb!!! Anyways, I like to swing, go down the slide with mommy, ride the little park animals, and of course play with the steering wheel!!

I'm pretty much counting down the days until I can play with a REAL steering wheel when I inherit my dad's 97' civic in 15 years!

Mimi and Papa's visit

My Mimi and Papa (mommy calls them the Paparazzi :) finally came out to visit me from Florida!! They usually come once a month, but their September trip was canceled due to Hurricane Ike. They were so excited to see me and took tons of pictures! Unfortunately my mommy forgot to download the pics from their camera onto our computer so we don't have that many from their visit. I even reminded my mom about the pictures and she STILL forgot....I think she would forget her head if it wasn't attached to her body sometimes!

We did eat out a lot during their visit and my Mimi was giving me all sorts of new food! Here we are at a Thai restaurant...the lighting fixtures in there were amazing so I had to look at them every few seconds.

Here I am eating some ice cream!

Then we went to a Mexican restaurant for breakfast on the big game day (that's right....when Texas beat #1 OU....Go Horns!!) There I got to eat my new favorite food....guacamole! That stuff is awesome!! After that I finished my meal off by chomping down on an orange slice.

Massive Update

Well, so much has happened since Hurricane Ike hit and took out our power for 2 weeks. So I'll just post my cutest pics and videos.

Doing some of my cheerleading moves:

Crawling around trying to get mommy's camera:

Here's my old man face....which is quickly followed by my new breathing technique. I just breathe in and out of my nose real fast and it makes mommy and daddy laugh hysterically!

I've also been teething...I now have my 2 bottom teeth! You can see one of my teeth from this picture :o)

And since I've been teething, I've been sucking and biting on my lips quite a bit.

Daddy brought home 2 stray kittens (Ike and Tina) that now live in our backyard. I always crawl over to the back door and play with them through the window. Tina's my best friend!

Hurricane Ike

I just wanted to update our friends and family after hurricane Ike.  We have pictures to post, however we're going on day 12 of no power (and the newest restoration date is now Sept. 28th)...so we have not been back to the house for about a week now.  The weather was fantastic the first week after the storm so mommy and I could stay at the house without A/C.  However, this week is a different story...it's very hot and muggy and mommy is scared to have me in that kind of heat.
Luckily we've been able to stay with my Nana and Pappaw in the Woodlands as well as the very gracious Hazlewood family who all have power!!  Which I must say it's been very fun at the Hazlewood's....I have been stalking and taunting all 4 cats and 2 dogs...it's been awesome!!!  Bailey and Cooper give me tons of slobbery kisses and I love it, they are the first dogs I've met that actually don't run away from me!!
All in all, it's been an exhausting 2 weeks after the hurricane from all the moving around as we have adopted a gypsy lifestyle.  But we can't wait to get power and for everything to return to normal!
