Hurricane Ike

I just wanted to update our friends and family after hurricane Ike.  We have pictures to post, however we're going on day 12 of no power (and the newest restoration date is now Sept. 28th)...so we have not been back to the house for about a week now.  The weather was fantastic the first week after the storm so mommy and I could stay at the house without A/C.  However, this week is a different story...it's very hot and muggy and mommy is scared to have me in that kind of heat.  

Luckily we've been able to stay with my Nana and Pappaw in the Woodlands as well as the very gracious Hazlewood family who all have power!!  Which I must say it's been very fun at the Hazlewood's....I have been stalking and taunting all 4 cats and 2 dogs...it's been awesome!!!  Bailey and Cooper give me tons of slobbery kisses and I love it, they are the first dogs I've met that actually don't run away from me!!

All in all, it's been an exhausting 2 weeks after the hurricane from all the moving around as we have adopted a gypsy lifestyle.  But we can't wait to get power and for everything to return to normal!

More Milestones!!

Well, I've been fairly grumpy lately because of this whole teething process...but I'm glad to say that I finally cut my first tooth about 2 weeks ago!! It was and still is a painful process, I try to tell mommy how painful it is, but I'm pretty sure she has NO idea what REAL pain feels like!

Another new thing I've started to do is sitting up on my own! I can now go from my back, to my belly, to my hands and knees, then finally to the sitting up position.




This is just fantastic for me, because now when mommy and daddy put me down for a nap, I can sit up in my crib and play with my mobile or my lovey (my very soft hippo that I sleep with) for a whole hour before falling asleep!! And you know what....my parents would have no idea I did this if they didn't own that stupid video monitor!





























I'm trapped.....somebody let me out of here!!!

New toy!

My Florida Mimi and Papa got me a brand new toy and it's awesome! I've been getting pretty bored with my old toys so it was time for something new and exciting to captivate my attention. It's a stationary play station that will convert into a walker later. Even though it's not a jumperoo, I still like to jump up and down in it :o) I think instead of learning how to walk, I may just have to hop everywhere I go.

New best friend

Well, it's been a good summer hanging out with my friends....but now Cailin's mommy went back to work and I haven't been able to hang out with her :( I've now been forced to find another best friend!! Mommy says her name is "Mirror"...but whatever her name is, she's absolutely stunning!! And I must say we get along really well, she even says the same thing I do at the same exact moment I say it! Did I mention she's fantastically beautiful??




We also love to smile and spit on each other....
